A 630 hectares forest park just outside of Newcastle
Tollymore is just two miles from the centre of Newcastle and offers a variety of outdoor activities. There is plenty for walkers with four designated trails in varying length. The Shimna River flows through the park and is criss crossed by a total of 16 bridges.
The park is home to the Tollymore national outdoor centre and the Hotrock climbing wall.
The park has a 1.5km singletrack skills course with a range of features such as rollers, berms, drop offs, table tops, rock sections, northshore and log rolls. The Outdoor centre also offers a number of mountain biking courses for different skill levels.The variety and size of the features ensures that there are plenty of opportunities for all bikers to develop their riding and concentrate on specific skills in a progressive manner
Like many places in and around the Mournes Tollymore has been used as a filming location for the hit TV series Game of Thrones.
